When someone we care about passes away, a traditional wake and/or funeral helps us lay them to rest and allows us to gather friends and family to comfort and console one another in our shared moment of loss and grief. Yet, many of us enter and leave these traditions with still more we want to say, share and do to honor our loved one’s life, the special way they lived it, and the impact it had on our own.
Each life is worthy of celebration. No matter how short or long, through its unique collection of gifts, achievements, joys, trials and triumphs, each life touches so many others. In gathering together to celebrate the impact on us and learn of the impact on others, we honor the memory of our loved ones in a spirit of joy and celebration that helps us to heal and calls us to action.
